Who IS the artist?
We set out to truly understand our users, engaging in meaningful conversations and immersing ourselves in their world. Through these encounters, a vivid character began to emerge—one that embodied the hopes, dreams, and behaviors of our diverse user base. This newfound persona became our guiding star, illuminating the path to our shared goals, unveiling their unique needs, and inspiring creative solutions to their challenges.

Platforms like Artsy and minted, places where artists can showcase and sell their art, drove a major part of the design process along with user insights.

Our client mentioned their desire to take inspiration from modern dating apps. Ones that allow their users to follow prompts that the platform provides to build a strong artist’s profile.
Its the little things.
User feedback led us to make a multitude of small changes to the interface and hierarchy. For instance, having a headline with the given question added more context to the artist’s profile page.
Multiple users expressed in interviews that most of their work on Art in Res is done on a mobile device! We wanted to make sure there was a good idea of what that might look like for those users.
